So the surgery part is over with, as (hopefully) is the worst of the pain. Got home last night and after a rather painful evening did manage to get some sleep. There are plenty of funny stories from the wards that will be shared at a later date but for now it's enough to just say I made it through! Here's to recovery (or the point at which getting to the toilet stops being a well choreographed epic journey and begins to be a walk down the corridor again!)
